Capturing the spirit of Los Lunas begins at the town’s entry sign — a landmark that welcomes visitors with a sense of history, culture, and pride. Using drone photography, I highlighted the sign’s placement against the open New Mexico landscape, showing how it frames the gateway into town.
From elevated perspectives, the textures of the desert, the play of natural light, and the bold typography of the sign all come together to create striking visuals. By shooting during golden hour, I emphasized warmth and depth, giving the entry point a cinematic quality that reflects the character of Los Lunas itself.
This series is more than a documentation of a landmark — it’s a visual introduction to the community. Through thoughtful aerial composition, I aimed to capture not only the sign but also the story it represents: arrival, welcome, and the beginning of the Los Lunas experience.
